Once you see the downstairs home theater and game room you will be astonished. Fifteen people can watch a movie on the home theater’s large screen, in comfortable cinema-style chairs. The huge game room alone is full of things to do: There’s a regulation-size pool table, a multi-game arcade, air hockey, pinball, a Golden Tee golf arcade game, and a large flat-screen TV. You’ll never be bored at The Great Escape II! There’s even a pub table, if you prefer to play cards or simply enjoy a quiet chat with a friend.
One flight up is the main floor, home to yet another large flat-screen TV, as well as plenty of leather seating you’ll love sinking into. When you’re not watching TV or warming yourself by the fireplace, the living room is an inviting spot to curl up with your laptop to surf the web or to get lost in a book.
Of course, you don’t come to the Smoky Mountains to spend all your time indoors, even if your cabin has all the amenities that The Great Escape II has. The lodge has more than 700 square feet of covered decks from which you can savor the fresh mountain breeze, the sight of the towering trees, and the singing of chickadees in the morning or night.
