Boredom beware – Moonlight Theater Lodge has so many entertainment options, rainy days don’t stand a chance. Able to accommodate up to 14 guests comfortably, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom mountain dwelling’s many amenities will keep the whole gang amused without ever leaving the cabin – but with all the Smokies have to offer, you’ll want to get out and have some fun, too!
Who says log cabins have to be rustic? The moment you step inside Moonlight Theater Lodge, you’ll be blown away by the main level’s lustrous wood-planked walls and floor, soaring cathedral ceiling and stone fireplace. Comfortable seating with a large flat-screen TV makes the living area a delightful place to spend time with family or friends, whether you’re watching a movie on the BluRay player selected from the home’s extensive video library, playing a game on the PlayStation 3 or just having a chat by the fire.
Flowing seamlessly into the living area so no one’s ever far from the action, Moonlight Theater Lodge’s dining area is a great place to enjoy a family meal or a lively board game at the eight-seat wooden table. Just a few feet away, a breakfast bar with room for two more separates the kitchen area from the living and dining spaces, making it ideal for setting out snacks buffet-style. The kitchen itself has everything you need to prepare as simple or lavish a meal as you could want. From the stainless-steel oven and stove to the refrigerator and microwave, all the major appliances are at your disposal. Additionally, the drawers and cabinets are well supplied with cookware, dishes, utensils and prep tools. A dishwasher makes post-meal cleanup a breeze, and all the extras – from a toaster to a blender are there. There’s even a Keurig! Near the foot of the stairs, a bistro table with room for two gives you a bit of privacy to savor your morning coffee while using your tablet and the free Wi-Fi to plan the day’s activities.
Too warm to fire up the stove? If you don’t feel like putting on the air conditioner, fire up the gas grill instead! Just a few steps from the kitchen and dining area through the glass doors, Moonlight Theater Lodge’s rear deck is a great place to enjoy the fresh mountain area any time of the day or night. Dine “out” at the wide patio table or relax in one of the comfortable rockers to enjoy the view. You can also grab a glass of wine and recline in the hot tub after a busy day of fun in the mountains.
Downstairs, Moonlight Theater Lodge features a fantastic home theater and entertainment area that’s sure to keep the kids’ attention for a few moments of peace. Kids and adults alike will love to settle back in the plush seating to enjoy a movie or sports match on the 110-inch projection screen. There’s also a Wii gaming system and full-size pool table if you’re up to a friendly challenge.
Why have one primary bedroom when you can have three? Moonlight Theater Lodge has a primary bedroom located on each of its three levels. All three rooms include a luxurious king-size bed, soothing ceiling fan, TV and roomy en-suite bathroom with a jetted tub. Also upstairs, a large, airy loft is sure to appeal to the kids thanks to its TV and plenty of carpeted floor space for them to spread out with their toys. The loft’s two roomy sofas open into queen-size beds, making it into a bedroom for four where the kids will love having an impromptu slumber party!
Moonlight Theater Lodge is as much about convenience as it is about comfort. Fresh linens and towels are provided for all the bathrooms and beds, including the four sofa beds, so you can maximize your suitcase space. But if you do find yourself needing clean clothing, no worries – a handy stacking washer and dryer lets you refresh your wardrobe in a hurry.
Along with its own wealth of diversions, Moonlight Theater Lodge also offers access to Alpine Mountain Village’s numerous amenities. In the summer you can splash about in its outdoor swimming pool, then laze poolside afterward. The little ones will love the playground, and everyone can enjoy the walking trails and the covered picnic pavilion.

Discover great shopping, dining, games and sports (from golf to go-karts), shows, unique attractions and museums, outdoor adventures and so much more. Outdoors on the back deck you can enjoy the professional gas grill and private hot tub, overlooking the forest view. The living area will entice you in with the warm stone fireplace and TV, topped off with comfy seating impossible to resist.
When you are feeling competitive, take on a friendly game of pool in the game room, or watch a movie in the home theater. The 110-inch projection is perfect for a movie or playing the recent sports game, with plenty of loungers for everyone to sprawl out. Decompress after a long day with the two jetted bathtubs, in addition to the outdoor jacuzzi. You deserve to treat yourself to a luxury soak!
Outside what the lodge has to offer, you have full access to the Alpine Mountain Village swimming pool and amenities. In the same vein, our guests love the cabin atmosphere in the Smoky Mountains. Nature lovers here can hike, bird watch, and sightsee to their heart’s content. We recommend the Laurel Falls Trail, a 2 hour hike leading to a stunning waterfall.
Despite being in a calm and quiet location, the Moonlight Theater Lodge is only a few minutes away from Pigeon Forge. You will find plenty of shopping, entertainment, and dining opportunities – far too many to list them all!
Craving a city atmosphere? Downtown Gatlinburg is less than 10-minutes away by car. Among the Village Shops saloon-style photo studios, mountainside Sky Lift, and the popular Ripley Aquarium, there is plenty to do and see while downtown. When you have worked up an appetite, we recommend stopping by The Pancake Pantry for a meal. It is one of the most popular restaurants in Gatlinburg, and you will not regret it!
