Which national park has than 10 million visitors each year? Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Even with that many visitors, you still might not see anyone on the hiking trails because the Park covers over 800 square miles. The park is open daily year-round, but some historic attractions close during the winter months. If you want to take a car up the mountain, the 31-mile Newfound Gap Road is the best road. Ask us what trails are best for your level of hiking: The most difficult is Mt. LeConte (via Bullhead Trail) with panoramic views; Baskins Creek Falls is an easier ‘family’ trail but views do get obstructed by summer foliage.
