Time to show off your culinary skills using the 5 burner gas stove, microwave, wall oven, stand mixer, blender - well stocked. Flour, sugar, coffee, tea, condiments, paper goods and other kitchen extras are already here. There is a gated wrap around deck with grill, furniture for al fresco dining.
Sleeping arrangement: First Floor Queen Bedroom is handicapped accessible; Second Floor King Bedroom Right; Second Floor King Bedroom Left (treetop view). 2.5 baths upstairs ...private commodes but share a shower.
Ceiling fans keep you cool in the summer evenings if you don't want the a/c. And, of course, we are extra careful with our cleaning...lots of disinfectant on surfaces plus we open all the doors and windows while we are cleaning to let a breath of fresh air fill the rooms.
No cell service at the cabin - you need to go to the top of the mountain for Verizon or Sprint, the only two cell providers which are strong service. ATT is found in some areas of the county, but T-Mobile is not found anywhere.
Motorcycle Riders will love to ride “The Snake” (Highway 421) - 489 curves, 3 mountains, and 1 valley. Sports car or motorcycle - both love this unique mountain challenge - Plus, we are an hour from Bristol Motor Speedway. Love to hunt? Deer, Bear, Grouse and Turkey are common. Deer Hunt right on the property. And the local Hunt Club goes after bear in December. How about joining them?
During your stay at the Creekside Chalet, you might find yourself on a different sort of trail: The Quilt Trail takes you through the scenic countryside of Northeastern Tennessee. The quilts are displayed on historic and beautiful barns. Find your inner-explorer and navigate your way to several streams and seven waterfalls, inspiring destinations for the group photographers. Biking The Virginia Creeper Trail is popular so ask me about bike rentals.
Guests love the hiking, boating, fishing, biking, and relaxing. Since you book directly with me (Vikki Woods), I’d love to share my local knowledge so you can have the best Tennessee vacation possible. The history, the art, music, the amazing mountains, and the many seasonal festivals are a big part of cabin time in Butler, TN. I designed and built the Creekside Chalet when guests asked if they could bring their dogs and children to the Iron Mountain Inn B&B which is pet and children free. But both are welcome at the Chalet.
When I built the Inn I was living in a trailer...if I'd known what I know now, I would have built the Chalet and then lived in it while I was building the Inn....it would have been a lot more comfortable!
I love the mountains and love sharing the magic of them with guests....or, if you just want to be alone, only the deer and turkeys will know you are home at the Chalet.
