Lakeside Point is located on deep water with a gorgeous view of the Smoky Mountains.
This home has been recently bought and is getting a near 100% refurb. It is our most popular 3 bedroom lake home so the improvements will be amazing. On the lake-facing side, the property slopes to the water’s edge, making for a beautiful, close-up view of the Flat Creek area of Douglas Lake. Lakeside Point home is a three-story, barn-style cabin with plenty of room to spread out in its many unique spaces. The front door opens onto the main level, where shared spaces include a great room overlooking the water, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a breakfast bar, an ample dining room with seating for up to eight and windows on two sides, and a comfortable living room with plush sofas and a large, flat-screen TV.
On the lower level, a large recreation room is equipped with a sleeper sofa and two leather armchairs, a pool table, air hockey and a second, wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Outside the game room on the lower deck, guests will find a hot tub with a view of the lake and mountains. In a separate room on the lower level, guests have access to a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer. Lakeside Point was newly furnished and redecorated in 2012, with updates including a new heating and cooling system, high-definition TV screens, Wi-Fi internet, new carpets and dishwasher, and refurbished landscaping.
Sleeping arrangements: On the top level of this modern cabin rental, two private bedrooms are furnished with a king-sized bed each, as well as a TV and a private balcony; one of the bedrooms also has a full-sized futon. These two bedrooms share a full bath. On the main floor, there is a second full bath and a third bedroom furnished with a queen-sized bed. A sleeper sofa in the recreation room can accommodate two more overnight guests.
Lakeside Point takes full advantage of its exquisite view through access to six — SIX! — different decks. Two full-length decks on the lake-facing side are situated high above the hills and trees, offering a panoramic view of Douglas Lake and Mt. LeConte, part of the Great Smoky Mountains chain of peaks that reaches over 6,500 feet. The top decks opens off of the main level kitchen and den, and is equipped with a gas grill and a picnic table. The lower deck opens off of the recreation room, with a hot tub and yard access.
High decks on either side of the house open off of the two upper-level bedrooms, and are a wonderful, quiet place to enjoy a sunset over the lake or a morning cup of coffee. Down by the water, two more free-standing decks are set into the hill, giving access to the lake for boating, fishing and swimming in the deep waters of this private point. The higher of the two decks is partially shaded in the shadows of mature trees, where guests can enjoy the lake breeze and the view from provided Adirondack lounge chairs. A short wooden staircase leads to a water-level deck with a swim ladder, which is perfect for sun-bathing.
Lakeside Point is located on the Sevierville side of Douglas Lake, where visitors will find unique attractions such as the year-round Forbidden Caverns and the Sevier County Heritage Museum. Take a selfie with the famed bronze Dolly Parton Statue outside the more than 100-year-old Sevier County Courthouse, view an extensive collection of American muscle cars and motorsports memorabilia at Floyd Garrett’s Muscle Car Museum, or pay a visit to the Tennessee Aviation Museum.
Visitors can interact with free-roaming deer, wallaby and other interesting animals at the Smokey Mountain Deer Farm, or spend the day at Rainforest Adventures — one of the world’s largest reptile museums. Sevierville is also home to the Eagles Landing Golf Club, which is an 18-hole course with a luxury clubhouse that regularly hosts tournaments on its beautifully kept mountain view grounds. Lakeside Point is also close to myriad popular tourist attractions at Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, including live entertainment, outlet shopping and hundreds of dining opportunities. Guests to this vacation rental property have free access to the Gator Point Marina boat launch, located a five-minute drive from the house.

My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful view! We took a lot of pics. Our dog also loved the cool weather on the balcony. Thank you for sharing this lovely home. The Denards
Our trip began with two days for just the three BFFs, with the hubbies joining us for the next three days. The house was lovely, the view was spectacular and the weather was absolutely perfect for post mid-September. We spent a lot of time on the main level deck just watching the lake action (although pretty quiet on week days), gazing at the mountains, watching the sunsets and staring up at the expanse of stars never seen in the lights of the big city. Although we had a great time hanging out on the dock sunning, swimming and floating, the lake had been lowered so much that the dock was resting at an angle that made it difficult to stay balanced at times. It made the steep trek to the lake and back even more challenging because of the extra distance where the water would have otherwise been. The good part about it is that all the exercise meant I didn't gain a single pound during our vacation (even with the delicious meals we prepared)! Overall we had a fantastic time and before we left we were already contemplating a return in 2016. I highly recommend this property, just not for anyone with mobility issues or chronic breathing conditions because they wouldn't be able to get back and forth to the lake from the house. I'm glad we are all in good shape so we could enjoy everything this property has to offer! Lora Miller
We had our 25th anniversary this past May and had a lovely time at Lakeside Point. On a scale of 1-10, we give your house a "10+"...We especially enjoyed the multiple decks, the hot tub and the sunsets were wonderful. We wanted a get-a-way on the lake...We were able to rent jet skis, a ski boat. We had a great week! Susan
