Some sections of the river within the park are Class III rapids that require some experience and skill. Anglers of all ages flock to the park for great bass, perch and rainbow trout fishing. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency regularly stocks the river with trout. Outside of the park, make a visit to the Webb Brothers Float Service for a first-rate whitewater rafting adventure. Class II and III rapids are their specialty and will provide you with all the equipment you’ll need.

Although popular for biking, horseback riding and nature viewing, sections of the forest are very well known for snorkeling. Many of the streams in this area have clear waters and shallow bottoms that make for ideal underwater viewing. 154 species of fish can be seen in these streams.
