Civil war history buffs will certainly want to leave their cabin-in-the-woods for a day visit to the Shiloh National Military Park, site of the 5,000 acre battlefield. Less than an hour away, watch films and see the displays at the Shiloh Battlefield and the Corinth Civil Water Interpretive center on the tools of war. The Center contains interactive exhibits and artifacts of the battle of Corinth. The site also contains the Shiloh Indian Mounds National Historic Landmark where you can see the remains of an Indian village from the ancient Mississippian Era. You can also take a 12.7 mile self-guide tour by car.
